Step 8: Glass Surfaces

What's needed:

Household window cleaners tend to streak more than glass cleaner specifically designed for cars. Eagle One 20/20 Perfect Vision Auto Glass Cleaner effectively removes vinyl fog and smokers residue from interior glass and is safe for tinted windows.

Clean all glass surfaces using a 100% cotton terry towel or a Microfiber Towel. The towel should be free from silicone residue, which is found in fabric softeners or dryer-sheets. Silicone residue can leave streaks on glass. You can either spray Eagle One 20/20 Perfect Vision Auto Glass Cleaner directly onto the glass or on a towel. Start with the exterior windows first, wiping in a side-to-side motion. By varying the direction of wiping, you will be able to identify any streaks and where they are coming from.

Tips:

  1. Many detailing professionals use different-colored towels for windows only and clean and store them separately from the other towels.
  2. Fold your towel into quarters and turn it frequently to ensure a clean glass surface.
  3. Because 20/20 Perfect Vision Auto Glass Cleaner is concentrated, minimize the amount applied as it will take longer to evaporate.
